Preface

I am highly pleased and honored to publish the health bulletin 2015 of Brahmanbaria district. By publishing the bulletin, it gives me a great opportunity to be a part of the unique thought of present government to make digital Bangladesh by the year 2021. I really appreciate the innovative ideas and the excellent information systems that have been developed by the MIS, DGHS. The health bulletin-2015 reflects all important health related information of Brahmanbaria district at a glance. This bulletin will show the constrains as well as the success 2015 in health related events of Brahmanbaria district. It also contains the status of MDG4 and MDG5 thereby it will illuminate the MDG target and achievement simultaneously. I hope all this data provided in this bulletin will help the government and other health related development partners for planning in upcoming year and also identify the pitfalls and lacking of current year. Thus it can help us to identify the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats related to service delivery which would guide us to take necessary action for further improvement. This bulletin also contains the information of safe drinking water, sanitation and human resources. I am really glad to declare that the percentage of fully vaccinated child of Brahmanbaria district was 98% and total TT coverage is 71% during the year 2015. I also like to mention that we achieved all indicators of AFP surveillance in 2014.Community clinic gave us a new arena of health care delivery at grass root level.I believe near future we can increase the number of institutional delivery and thus we can achieve our target in MDG5. I appreciate MIS for their kind help to sort out our limitations of under reporting. Finally I would like to give my heartiest thanks to all the people who worked for this bulletin to make it perfect informative and easy to realize.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
The most important thing that i would like to mention that our district store is insufficient to store medicine and other stuffs.Thereby we need a more spacious central store for brahmanbaria district.Another thing that i would like to add that Brahmanbaria district surrounded by river, during rainy season it is difficult for us to continue our service without a boat.Country boat health care delivery system will help us in this regard. In 2014 new vechile was given to maximum civil surgeon, but unfortunately Brahmanbaria civil surgeon office was deprived the vechile is given to the civil surgeon office Brahbanbaria it would be very healpful for the inspection of field service activities.
