Preface

I am very glad to publish this Health Bulletin of Civil Surgeon Office, Comilla. This Bulletin contains all the Health related Information of 2015. This Bulletin is Published to disseminate the information of Government sector as well as Private sector to other line Department and Development partners of health. I hope all the information's of this Health Bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this district. Government Health Office has many datas stored in this file. This Health Bulletin will help us to find contents and also to see the results and achievements of 2015. The Bulletin contains the status of MDG4 and MDG5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This Health Bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of this district. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2015. I would like to draw attention of the higher authority to look into this issue. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
omilla is one of the biggest District of the country and it comprises of 16 Upazilas. Here it is needed to create 02(two) posts of Additional Civil Surgeon, 02(two) posts of Deputy Civil Surgeon, 02(two) posts of MOCS(one for MOCS administration and one for MOCS planning), Class one (Upgrade ) Assistant Chief (Non-Medical) MIS. Routine EPI and EPI Diseases Surveillance are going with good shape and District is free from wild poliomyelitis for more than last 15 years in comparison of the country for the last 8 years. Right now 274 Health Assistant posts are vacant. It is emergency need to fill up this vacant posts immediately to keep up the good and quality work. The present Vehicle used by Civil Surgeon Comilla, is not in good condition. it is 13 years old vehicle.One new Vehicle for Civil Surgeon Comilla is very much needed. It is also needed another vehicle for Deputy Civil Surgeon that Will be helpful for monitoring of the District Program activities. Present Civil Surgeon office is placed at old building & condition is not good. EPI Store room and EPI cold room is placed under Comilla General Hospital building stair. We are very glad to inform that new building for Civil Surgeon office and as well as EPI store room is under construction. We hope the construction work will be ended at the end of this year(2016). Gradual increase of population, demand Comilla General Hospital 100 bedded to be improved to 250 bedded hospital & 31 bedded upazila Health Complex to be upgraded to 50 bedded hospitals.
