Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
As you know, Cox's Bazar district is the most important tourism locality among the 64 districts of Bangladesh. We have a rapidly changing city where the tourist friendly facilities are available except well equipped health care services. On the other hand, out of 8 Upazillas we have also a number of hard to reach areas. Moheskhali and Kutubdia are islands. Teknaf and Ukhiya are carrying Myanmar refugees. A large vulnerable population are residing throughout the district, who are health care service seekers. Existing health care services have few insufficiency in different sectors like Human resources, infrastructural, machineries, transport vehicles etc. It is necessary to give interventions about the mentioned insufficiency like Capacity building of human resources, Construction and repair of infrastructures, Restoration of machinery, Repair and allocation of ambulances and speed boats ( for islands). Finally, I am glad to write this Health Bulletin, 2016, because this document will help us to compare our progression in upcoming years. This useful document will help the public to understand health health services and to provide us the useful advice's which help to improve health care services. .................................. (Dr. Pu Chaw Nu) Civil Surgeon Cox' Bazar
