Preface

It is my great pleasure to publish this HEALTH BULLETIN-2016 of Thakurgaon District. It contains all the health related information's of 2015 that can be disseminated to other departments & development partners of health. We used wide range of sources across the district to gather the datas. The information of this health bulletins are of great importance. These will be helpful for planning & bridging the laps and gaps in the health services of this district. It will help us to understand how much progress we have achieved in the last year, also those issues where more progress could be achieved. The health bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 & MDG-5 which will help to locate the MDG targets. The sanctioned & vacant posts are published in this bulletin which seeks necessary steps of higher authority. I always believe that there is enough scope for perfection in future. Finally, I acknowledge deeply the contributions of my associates who worked hard and closely with me to publish the HEALTH BULLETIN 2016 and I would like congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward digital Bangladesh. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Civil Surgeon, Thakurgaon.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Important information and necessary issues for Thakurgaon Civil Surgeon Office- The Health Bulletin 2016 will contribute to improving about health issues. Last year we have tried our best to improve the health status but could not ensure public demand due to some reasons. I like to mention some important factors which will help us for better performance in future. 1) All the vacant posts of Doctor, Nurse and Paramedics should be filled up, 2) IMCI service providers need regular training, 3) For better maternal & neo-natal health service both health and family planning departments need to work combindly. 4) Sit capacity of hospitals should be increased. We are very glad to write this Health Bulletin of 2016. This will help us for our better performance in future.
