Preface

I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Kushtia District for the year of 2016. This bulletin contains all the health related profile of Kushtia district and also the performance of the year- 2015. This bulletin will help to identify the laps and gaps of health services of this district. It also helps to prepare next year plan to improve the health services. This bulletin reflects the present health status of this district. The sanctioned and vacant posts are also published in this bulletin which may draw the attention of higher authority to take necessary action. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
1. Civil surgeon`s office building has never been constructed in Kushtia.The building in which the office work is carried out at present was constructed back in 1887. It is Small, Shabby and fragile building ,overtly unable to hold the Civil Surgeon office & have no conference/ hall room.Contstruction of Civil Surgeon`s office building is essential . 2. 41 (Forty one) union sub center having no infra structure. 3. Manpower : 39 posts of medical officer are vacant at present.4. Total 53 (fifty three) health assistant posts are vacant. 5. 63 (sixty three) other class three posts are vacant. Appointment of Doctors, H.A`s & others workers in the vacant post is crucial for maintaining better survices at the field level.
