Preface

``Service to mankind is service to God" & Health Service is the front liner. Long felt necessity to disseminate our annual performance is now become a reality by publishing this local Health Bulletin 2016. It is an act of great pleasure & excitement both for me and my efficient colleagues. I would like to thank and congratulate all the doctors , nurses , paramedics , supporting staffs and line departments both GO and NGO for there contribution in health.This health Bulletin in Nutrition , EPI,TB control programme and MNCH programmae.This health Bulletin as a document could help the central and local managers,line departments and field level staffs to analyze the situation of our district for planning , reviewing and undertaking necessary steps for qualitative and quantitative improvement of Health Services. The present democratic government has revitalized the community clinic initiatives in Bangladesh to reach the health care services to the door steps of the common people. At present 98 community clinics are functioning in this district. This Bulletin contains the success, achievement , constraints , status of MDG-4,5.6 and information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of the district. It also include human resource situation in Magura Health Department so that the higher authority could take initiatives to fulfil the vacant posts for better and smooth running of the health facilities under this district . I acknowledge with sincere gratitude to MIS DGHS regarding conceptual, financial and technical support in publishing this local Health Bulletin. Congratulations to the initiators of the Health Bulletin Software for setting us one step ahead towards digital Bangladesh .

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Magura 100 beded hospital recives on an average 250-300 patients daily . That is why the on going construction process of 250 beded hospital should be implemented as early as posible . It is a comprehensive EOC facility ,with at the same time MNCH activities are going on throughout the district. So the Flow of pregnant women and child patients are increasing remarkably. Magura district Vacant posts should be filled up moderisation of OT. Training of all staffs.Emergency fund . Now, Sreepur, Shalikha and mohammadpur UHC is functioning with 50 beds. 20 bedes hospital project at Binodpur of Mohammadpur and Beroil Polita of Sadar Upazila,10 beded Maternal & child health certer at Arpara of Shalika and Sreepur of Sreepur Upazila are under on going pricess .To provide smooth service to people, it is our almost demand to implement the mentioned projects immediately. Finally , One Ambulance is required to sadar Hospital and 1 for Shalikha UHC and 01 X-ray plant to be set up at chest diseases clinic.X-ray,USG machine and other equipments should be repaired immediately . All vacant posts should be filled up as soon as possible . At least one cleaner and one security guard post should be created for each union sub centers .
