Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
District Sadar hospital, Kurigram is the only secondary hospital of the district. As kurigram is one of the poorest district of northern Bangladesh and it has got nine sub-districts with 2.2 million population , the bed occupancy rate of the hospital is around 185%, Besides that out of 42 physician only 16 post are full filled and infrastructure of the hospital is very poor . 250 beded hospital is under construction. Supplies are not sufficient . Among the admitted patient diarrhea ranks at 1st. Out of 25210 admitted patient diarrhea was 3362 that is 14%. Post of Consultant anesthetist were vacant throughout the year till today . Due to lake of anesthesiologist rate of surgery was very poor . Though 701 Major surgery was done .Now I like to mention some important issues which should be solved immediately for better services. (1) Vacant post of MO, EMO, IMO and anesthesia Consultant should be filled immediately. 2) Infrastructure needs urgent renovation and repair and 3) Installation of CC camera. Finally I thanks of all my colleagues for their great support in 2015 for the better achievement in hospital service delivery . Thanks to all.
