Preface

''Magura District Hospital'' is the most potential health facility in the district. Though it is hundred beded hospital, on an average 250-300 patients stay here daily. On an average more than 70 patients get admitted in in-patient-department. I feel delighted & enthusiastic for the publication of the Health bulletin. The document will reveal the Nature & Status of Health of the children & the mother of Magura district. This hospital is adjascent to Dhaka-Khulna highway & a large number of Road traffic accident patients come here daily for emergency service The 3-fold load of patients & the casualty load signifiy the necessity of the establishment of "250-Beded Hospital, Magura" project which is fast running under-construction. It is an EmOC facility & the pregnant women and child patients are increasing remarkably. This document could show the qualitative & quantitative achievements by all the doctors, Nurses & other supporting staffs as well as the trend of Top 10 disease of the district. The quality health care could further be develeped if Vaccant posts of Senior consultant(eye), Jr Consultant(Paed) and Senior Consultant (medicine), Jr consultant(anaes) & the shortfall of other logistics could be met. Dog/animal bite is another problem in magura district. On average 6 people are victimized which is keeping a load on ARV & RIG. Drainage system arround the hospital is very poor demanding urgent management. I finally express my gratitude to those who took pain for the set-up of special soft-ware in this purpose & put us one step forward in the foundation of 'Digital Bangladesh'

So the following requisites are to ensured for that purpose-- 1. Filling-up of the necessary man power. 2. Minimum one Junior Consultant(Anaesthesia) 3. Ambulance 4. Digital USG Machine. 5. 500 MA Digital X-ray machine. 6. Close-circuit camera(CC Camera) for security purpose. 7. Completion of '250-beded hospital' building. 8. Awareness building campaign against Dog/Animal bite 9. Improved drainage system. 10.Training of the staffs. 11.Fund for Emergency. I express my gratitude again to those collegues who relentlessly worked hard for the preparation of this document. Similarly MIS DGHS is not beyond this Respect. Thanks to all.
