Preface

IF the history could record all the account of human deed and thought, definitely the civilization might take another shape. For good or bad it did not happen that way. But surprisingly in Bangladesh this is happening very silently. Presently Bangladesh is on the thresh hold of new era, tremendous development in socio-economic sector especially in health service has snapped the focus of the world with deep appreciation. Namely the MDG, south-south award to honorable prime minister and Gavi award for immunization to honorable health minister are token of this fact mentioned above. Documentation of health bulletin here portraying this history. Now with this bulletin we are able to state the history of change of a nation to the people of the world yet to come. As a result - I hope any persuader of truth in future may unveil the inner link of history which were unprecedented and be able to shad light on newer aspect of mankind. History it self has an aesthetic appeal to everyone. This little maneuver of Director of health however scanty, it may be a part of story as well. We who are involved in this process are justifiably and inseparably included in this history too. This matter i essence is something to be thrilled about. 3 million of martyr has scarified their lives for the dream of a happy, prosperous Bangladesh, free of distress-disaster famine, epidemic and oppression. To realize this dream those who undertook the duty to accomplish the unfinished work, toiled hard in the open field under countless difficulties, sacrificing own comfort are no less heroic. Their contribution to the nation added to the effort for independence as it consolidate the solidarity by this most essential humanitarian service; " It is harder to sustain freedom than achieving it." Been truly exemplified by them are to be valued with those of the immortal martyr. So the bulletin is not merely a sheet of statistic but a saga of second birth of nation and its heroes. Dr. Md. Najibush Shaheed Superintendent Habiganj District Hospital.
