Preface

I am extremely happy to publish online Local Health Bulletine-2016 of Govt Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital, Mirpur, Dhaka which was established in 1989 under Bangladesh Homoeopathic development project of 1980 and transferred into revenue in 1993 as a 100 bedded tertiary level hospital, Which is the first and only government Homoeopathic hospital of Bangladesh. It has also outdoor, emergency, pathology and radiology department. Everyday all types of patients from different corners of country and also many other referred patient from different medical health services are reported to this hospital to get better treatment and management. This hospital provides facilities with special criteria 'Totality of symptoms'. Necessary investigations are available. We provide almost all Homoeopathic medicines.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Important information and necessary issues for Government Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital I would like to express some of important issues which if solved will help us to achieve better in terms of patients care: 1. There are one medical officer, one residential physician, one registrar, six indoor medical officers, one research/production/quality control officer and anesthesiologist appointed in this hospital & research cum production unit as a part of project, HPNSDP. Still they are running as project. It should be transferred in revenue budget as soon as possible for better patient care. 2. There is a research cum production unit as a part of hospital for data collection of patient analysis outdoor and those who are admitted in hospital. But manpower and financial support for this unit is very poor. It should be increased. 3. Shortage of manpower: We have 14 vacant post of 3rd & 4th class employee. Our recommendation is that the vacant posts should be filled up as per newly passed recruitment rules as soon as possible. 4. Future expansion: a. Sanction budget for GHMCH is very little. It should be increased for better management. b. Room accommodation for RP, RS, ward incharges and IMO are needed and also this hospital should be expanded as 250 bedded with manpower. So, vertical extension should be done in hospital building as soon as possible. Finally I am very glad to publish this Health Bulletin 2016 in favor of staffs of Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital. All activities and achievement are highly encouraged. Thank you everybody for participating and hearing with patience.
